Chris's Racing History

When Chris was growing up he started riding his dad's 1971 Honda ATC90 at about age 6 or so. No one knows how many laps he ran in the back yard, but it never had to be mowed. Chris purchased his own 1984 Honda 200X three-wheeler ATV for $975 when he was about 15. This was even before he bought his first car. By the way, he spent more for the ATV than he did for the car.
Chris's hobbies were riding his ATV's and 4-wheeling in his pick-up all through-out his high school years. After high school, he sold his four-wheeler and went to tech school for Electro-Mechanical Technology (robotics). Then he decided to try something different, so he went to SDSU for civil engineering. Chris soon realized that what he wanted to do more than any thing was race, so he went back to work for Prussman Construction.

4 Wheelers

Around 1992 he started racing 4-wheelers and by 1994, he had gotten a ride on a race team out of Beresford, SD to go and race national events. He won some special events at the Metrodome in Minneapolis and at the Sioux Falls Arena. Unless he was taken out in a wreck or had a mechanical problem, he raced in every main event of 20 riders in the Pro Division. This competitive division sometimes started out with as many as 200 riders.

Race Cars

Chris raced 4-wheelers until 1997 when he got his first 1992 Ultralite modified stock car. With many feature wins and even some track championships, he raced that car at various local tracks until the fall of 2000. Chris was even voted "Most Popular Driver." He then purchased a 2000 Dirt works chassis which he raced the 2001 season. That season was very successful with Chris grabbing five more wins, eighteen top 5's and 24 top 10's out of 34 shows. He sold that car in February 2002 and bought a 2002 Dirt works modified. The 2002 season was also very successful with a track championship at Slayton, MN. 2002 stats were 2 wins, 16 top fives and 26 top tens out of 34 shows with 6 DNF's. In the fall of 2002 he sold his 2002 DW8 car and bought a 2003 DW9 Dirt works Modified which he is racing this year.

2003 Season

11c Racing had a good year in 2003. Stats were: 51 shows, 1 win, 25 top 5’s, 44 top 10’s, and 5 DNF’s. They also helped out the following charities: Safety Town, BHS Band, a Brookings Soccer Team, Beadle County Humane Society, and the Dakota Wheelers ATV Club by giving away 2 Arctic Cat ATVs along with 2 kid's bikes.

2004 Season

2004 turned out to be quit an impressive year for Chris Prussman and the 11c Racing Team: 45 shows, 11 wins, 27 top 5’s, 34 top 10’s and 9 DNF’s. Chris and the Team would like to give a special thanks to VanEck Dairy, Verasun Energy, VDC motorsports, The Toy Shop with Amsoil, Gary Jensen trucking, Pheasant Restaurant and Lounge, Keystone Mortgage, Chevy’s, and Sturdy Racing Engines for their new sponsoship in 2004.
